About Me :)
Hello! Welcome to my site!!! Growing up in Southern California, I spent most of my free time swimming and running. It wasn't until my first year of college that I discovered my true passion for —dance. I changed my plans of becoming a lawyer and began dancing — all day, everyday. I graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance.
While studying ballet and modern dance, I spent hours training in Pilates, a practice which I believe helped me become a professional dancer. I earned my certification in Pilates with a specialization in dance from Body Arts and Science International (BASI) and have been teaching and training in Pilates for over 10 years.
One year after graduating college, I discovered aerial. I was hooked immediately! At the time, I never imagined I would become a professional aerialist, performing on tissu, hammock, hoop, and cube. I have performed in special events throughout the Los Angeles area, been accepted into Cavalia, starred in Debbie Allen"s Hot Chocolate, as well as performed on television and in music videos. I currently work in one of the biggest theme parks in California and all of the world.
For more than a decade, I have taught ballet, jazz, and hip hop to children and adults. I also teach Pilates to adults as a form of fitness and physical therapy. I spent years learning a specific repertoire of Pilates for dancers that would increase their technique in forms of flexibility, strength and power.
I love helping people become healthier while having a better understanding of their own body. My goal is to teach others how to get stronger with correct alignment, injury prevention, and unnecessary tension.
I love working with children because they have open minds and powerful imaginations. Being able to help with their growth, physical or mental, is a true joy! I believe anyone can benefit by adding strength and confidence to their body, mind, and soul.
I currently spend most of my time trying to fit all of my passions into my schedule...yoga, Pilates, aerial, dance, arts and crafts, unique approaches to fashion, swimming, teaching, and performing! I feel very grateful to be able to spend most of my time and living doing what I love!
